Spiral Arts at the International Woman's Day

We had a great time chatting and creating at the Roundhouse Derby.
We made over 100 bunting flags to promote Fairtrade Cotton in Fairtrade Fortnight.
Thanks also to the helpers from Oxfam who came along and encouraged people to decorate a flag, Jenny, Ann, Janet and to Ralph for bringing such a great display of Fairtrade information.
The bunting will be sent along to London for the World Record Attempt for the Longest String of Bunting in May.
Here are some of the bunting flags.

World's Longest String of Hand-Designed Cotton Bunting

Spiral Arts will be creating at the International Womans Day at the Roundhouse in Derby on Saturday 5 March 10-5pm.
Come along and join in the activities.
We will be decorating some amazing Fairtrade cotton bunting for the Guiness Book of World Records attempt for Fairtrade Fortnight to create the

WORLD’S LONGEST STRING OF HAND-DESIGNED, BESPOKE BUNTING

They will be individual, hand-made, bunting triangles.
'What does Fairtrade look like to you – paint, draw or sew it on your bunting. What do you want to say about Fairtrade – write your message on the other side! Each flag represents one statement of support for Fairtrade and we’ll be bringing all those messages together to create the longest line of lovingly crafted bunting to show off support for small-scale cotton farmers in developing countries.'
