Chaddesden Supporters

We had a busy workshop with the Chaddesden Carers creating batik onto paper to make lanterns.

Everyone was keen to get involved and thoroughly enjoyed the session.

Happy Divali

Well done to all the children in Reception and Year 1 at Ladywood Primary School, Kirk Hallam and in Year 1 and Year 2 at Draycott Primary School, for creating beautiful batik pieces to make our wonderful banners for Divali.

They were displayed at Erewash Museum last weekend at a Divali Celebration.
Families  who came along were able to create sand pictures for the Rangoli Display in the museum courtyard.

To Everything There Is A Season...

We had a great time working with Year 4 classes at St James Junior School on a Seasonal Tree project.

We spent 3 days creating, printing, sieving, pulping, fusing leaves, wrapping fabric and wool and taking wood rubbings with crayon.

It all went together to create a splendid tree which is now growing in the library open space area.

Thanks to all the staff and children for working so hard.

The tree will be created into a winter tree for the Year 4 Narnia project.

Thank you to all the wonderful children and teaching staff at the school.
