Luminate Lantern workshops
We have begun our lantern-making for our Luminate Lantern and Light Festival on 26 Nov. We delivered workshops over the half term holidays with participants of every age. We made star shapes and owl shapes using willow and tissue as well as glass jar lanterns to decorate the fountain in the park.

Derby Makers Faire - Diamond Weavings
Once again we were involved in the Derby Makers Faire at the Derby Silk Mill Museum at the end of October.
We were there to promote the work we are doing in the Derby Arboretum Park and to let people know about the new Friends of the Park group. It was a very busy event with lots of people from a wide area, we had a lot of good conversations. We also created the Diamond weavings again as we like the effect they make.

St Mary's - Andy Goldsworthy Weavings
We worked with almost 50 children from Year 1 to create Andy Goldsworthy inspired natural weavings. We used cardboard, wool, fabric, ribbon and pressed leaves.
They made a wonderful display when they were put together.
