Luminate Lantern and Light Festival - Fountain and Orangery

Here are some more images of the fountain and the Orangery in the Derby Arboretum, lit up and twinkling. We decorated the fountain with colourful jam jars lit with tealight candles and fairy lights. The Orangery has a display of lovely lanterns.

Luminate Lantern and Light Festival

This was a magical event in the Derby Arboretum Park.
We had the brilliant St James School Choir sing 2 lovely songs in the Orangery before our stunning lantern procession around the park accompanied by our 2 violinists, Kathy and Helen and led by our very own, Ice Queen.

Bulb Planting with Derby Arboretum Friends Group

We had a good afternoon on the community garden on the Derby Arboretum Park planting bulbs for the springtime. We got a good number of local volunteers to help with the planting as well as help from the Derby Rotary Club. Then it was back to Grove Lodge for tea and biscuits.
