ARBORETUM ARTS - April 2013
To welcome the springtime we created beautiful coloured glass jars decorated with tissue paper and beads.
The workshop was held in the Orangery Building in the Arboretum Park and we had a good group of families creating in the space.
These workshops are to compliment the Orangery Residencies in the Arboretum Park.
This month it is Del Coombs. He is creating some large canvas art with footprints from the visitors to the park.

Easter Bunny Fair
We made Easter Bunny Hats at the Rycote Centre as part of the Derby Deaf Club Easter Fair.
We had a nice group of children who created wonderful hats and the best hat won a giant easter egg, well done to all the children.

Sharing Space Opening Exhibition
On a very cold and snowy Saturday in March we opened the doors to our exhibition.
We'd had a busy 3 weeks of workshops and drop-in sessions to create a wonderful weaving display.
Everyone who came into the shop was delighted by the pieces.
We would like to thank the following groups for making it a success.
Cantelupe Youth Group, Flamstead Day Centre, Derby College Skills for Life and the Home Ed Group.

Sharing Space in the old Burton Shop
We had a busy month in Ilkeston creating in the old Burton Shop on Bath Street.
We met an interested group of visitors, passers-by and invited groups from the local area.
Here are some of the moments from the workshops.
