Out Of This World - Space Project

This February half term we spent 3 mornings working with a great group of children from Arboretum School.
They came to our building in the Arboretum Park to work on space-themed artwork.
Monday we started creating the space station and alien masks

Tuesday, we painted the sides of the space station and also made small rockets

Wednesday, we put it all together and also made small alien puppets.
The artwork was 'out of this world', what a great project!

Out of Africa in Repton

We spent an amazing 2 days at Repton Primary School creating work for their Africa project. We worked with Year 3 and Year 4 children to create batik hangings and African masks.

They waxed the fabric, painted on the inks and ironed out the wax. Their teacher Mrs Walters was busy sewing all the pieces together for their Arts Week Assembly.
The end of the week finished with a wonderful assembly showcasing all the work.

Well done!! We loved the African dancing and singing.
