TOUCHWOOD - Exhibition in the Orangery
The project was celebrated with an exhibition in the Orangery for 3 weeks, and was on display and open to the public during the Lark in the Park on 2 Sept.

Sculpture Session @ the Orangery
We delivered 3 sessions over the summer to create artwork for the Lark in the Park festival, we had a lovely group of participants who came and worked on decorative tree lampshades and wire birds.

TOUCHWOOD - Sun Printing, Hapa Zome, Wrapped Frames
For our 3rd session we created Sun Printed images using leaves and grasses onto paper and Hapa zome flowers onto the natural dyed fabric. We created wrapped hanging frames using branches and dyed wool and string.

At our 2nd session we collected leaves and made polystyrene leaf printing blocks to
print onto paper, we also used natural dyes to print onto paper.

TOUCHWOOD - Walk and Talk, Solar Dyeing
Touchwood was a creative landscape project exploring the potential of nature to create art using foraged materials collected from the Derby Arboretum. The project attracted people from the local community to come, wander,
create and enjoy the Derby Arboretum through a series of creative workshops
during August.
In the first session we had a walk
and talk around arboretum collecting leaves and foraged materials. Solar
Dyeing - laying and rolling leaves onto fabric, and dyeing in onion skins,
avocado skins, red cabbage, beetroot.
