Flower Arch - International Women's Day 2014

We created an archway covered in flowers and messages for International Women's Day in March to inspire women in their lives.

We worked alongside the Coop Members to also promote their campaign to help those women and girls who have to walk miles to collect fresh water in developing countries.

The event continued on 26 March where we met at Alvaston Park and walked along the track into town to support the campaign.

'Walk in Her Shoes' - International Women's Day

Just a few of the people who dropped by and helped create shoes for our shoe bunting.
We were asked once again by the Midlands Co operative to run an activity raising awareness of the campaign 'Walk in Her Shoes' they are supporting.

Find Out the FACS

Last week we were one of 9 micro provider art organisations  who put on an event at Derby Dance Centre helping promote art activities for carers and cared for people who are shortly going to be responsible for managing their own wellbeing budget.
It sounds a huge and somewhat daunting task as people don't necessarily know what's out there and available to them.
For our part we ran a simple stencilling workshop and participants got to take away a length of bunting made out of their stencilled piece of work.
We had a really lovely time and met some interesting folks.

International Women's Day 2012

We had a stand again at the International Women's Day. This year it was held at the Assembly Rooms, Derby in the Darwin Suite, and this year we were there on behalf of the CO OP who are supporting this campaign.
With help from a lot of women, some children and yes, a few men..... we made a collage of the campaign poster.
We even had some help from a group of young people from the Hoverla Ukrainian Dance Ensemble.
