Cardboard Model Village of Erewash

Our March and April project for Erewash Museum was creating cardboard models of the buildings in Ilkeston and Long Eaton. We worked with Long Eaton Self Help Group and Flamsteed Day Care to create our favourite buildings and then delivered 2 drop in sessions for families to make more. The work will be exhibited in the museum. 

Chinese New Year @ Erewash Museum

We spent the whole week working with schools around Ilkeston to create Chinese Dog Puppets and Chinese lanterns to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

On the day of the procession we had around 150 people come and make cylinder lanterns in the Hayloft at Erewash Museum, it was busy phew!! 

The lanterns looked amazing in the procession and tiger puppet gave a great performance in the market place 

Summer Postcards @ Buxton Museum

We worked with families at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery at the start of the summer. 
We created postcards using collaged magazines and posted them in a giant postbox.

Marbled Landscape Pencil Pots @ Buxton Museum

We worked with families at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery in the summer, we created pencil pots using marbled paper to make amazing landscape patterns.

Buxton Vases

We had a lovely busy workshop up at Buxton Museum over the Easter holidays. We worked with around 35 families to create beautiful collaged flowers in painted cardboard vases, to celebrate the Springtime.
