TOUCHWOOD - Walk and Talk, Solar Dyeing

Touchwood was a creative landscape project exploring the potential of nature to create art using foraged materials collected from the Derby Arboretum. The project attracted people from the local community to come, wander, create and enjoy the Derby Arboretum through a series of creative workshops during August.
In the first session we had a walk and talk around arboretum collecting leaves and foraged materials. Solar Dyeing - laying and rolling leaves onto fabric, and dyeing in onion skins, avocado skins, red cabbage, beetroot.
