The model of the post war prefab was launched at Ilkeston Library on 25 Nov.
There was a good crowd of people who came along, some who had participated in the project as well as local councillors and librarians.
It was a lovely day and everyone was pleased with the artwork.
We worked with schools and community groups to create our Well Dressing in the Derby Arboretum. This year the theme was 185 years of the park first opening and all the amazing people who work and volunteer in the park.
We held a great celebration on the community garden with music, tea and cake!
Kindly funded by Derby City Council small arts grants and the Community Cohesion Grant.
We had a wonderful week creating the Well Dressings to celebrate Normanton, all its people, the shops, the faiths, the flags and the festivals. It was an amazing week working with Rosehill, St James Infants and Dale Schools, the lovely members of the Nature Spaces group, and many volunteers who have been coming for years to help create them.
Rev Neil Barber led the celebration with a blessing, Helen played lovely violin and the garden was looking stunning in the sunshine.
