We spent a day working with families in the hayloft at Erewash Museum to create Divali arts and crafts.
We first made clay divas decorated with shiny beads and sequins and then in the afternoon we made mini rangoli patterned boards using coloured sand and glass beads.
We had some wonderful designs.

Sangam Divas
We have been awarded a grant from Foundation Derbyshire to deliver creative workshops with the Sangam ladies group who meet at Grange Hall in Littleover.
At the first session we created clay divas to celebrate Divali in October. The ladies used beads and sequins to decorate their divas. They looked very lovely.

Tepee Weaving @ St Mary's Primary
We spent a day working with Year 1 children at St Mary's Primary School in Derby to create a giant tepee taking inspiration from artist, Andy Goldsworthy. We looked at the colours and circular pattern of Andy's designs and chose recycled fabric strips to create the woven circles.
The children enjoyed sitting inside the tepee when it was completed.

Listen Love Learn - Toy Sacks
We worked with the young parents group at Quad to create toy sacks for their children. We used appliqued fabric to create their children's names, dates of birth and fun images to decorate the sacks.
Mosaic @ St Josephs School
This is the third mosaic we have created with the children at St Joseph's Primary in Derby.
We have enjoyed working at the school and the children have all designed the mosaics and helped to make them.
If you are passing make sure you have a look!
Thank you to all the staff and children for a lovely project.
