Blend Youth Projects

We have been working on a design and enterprise project working with 2 youth groups, in Ripley and Heanor to create artwork to sell later in the year.
We are part way through the project, here are some of the pieces we have been creating.

We were very privileged to be asked to create a floral banner for the Derby Cathedral at the installation of the new Bishop of Derby, Libby Lane. We set to work in the Orangery with help from creative friends to make giant fabric flowers.

Bird feeders at Madeley New Arrivals Group

We went to work with the young people who meet at Madeley Youth Centre, creating bird feeders using bird seed and melted fat. It was a messy workshop but everyone enjoyed making the feeders. Hope the birds had a good time!

Well Dressing at Derby Royal Hospital

We have been working at Derby Royal Hospital creating mini well dressings as part of Patient Experience Week and then creating a large well dressing for the Badger Courtyard in the main hospital.

Derwentwise Celebration - Well Dressing

Derwentwise celebrated 5 years of the project along the Derwent Valley. We were asked to create a well dressing as part of the celebrations at Cromford Mill working with visitors.
It was a great day.
