We worked with 2 schools in May and June on a Nature Project. We worked with Harrington Nursery on some giant insect suncatchers and with Rosehill Infants on small insect suncatchers. The work was displayed in the Orangery in the Derby Arboretum for the Community Fair on the park in June.
What a wonderful display!
We were asked to work at Lawns Primary School in June on a Sustainability Project with Year 6 and Year 3 students.
We decided to reuse different plastics to create a window hanging and to highlight how we can help the planet, how we can look after nature, people and animals and what actions we could take to help make it a better world to live in.We made purses with denim offcuts, gaffer tape and bondawebbed fabric. They were fun to do, especially being in Loudon Lodge looking out at the community garden in the Arboretum in the sunshine. 😎
We worked with the Long Eaton Self Help Group creating lots of lovely artwork over 4 months.
The group always look forward to us coming and bringing some exciting creative activities.
We do like working with them.
The project was funded by Erewash Small Grant Scheme.
We delivered 4 days of art activities in Grove Lodge over the Easter Holidays. We had received funding from the Derby City Council Cohesion Grant to work with the community.
We created art from cardboard tubes and paper mache artworks too. It was a fun time!
