Just before Christmas, Rosehill School came and spent 4 days with us at Grove Lodge creating paper mache sculptures for their Gruffalo project.
We all had a busy time creating fir trees and decorations as well as some life-size characters from the story.
Well done and thank you to artists, Claire and Kate, who joined us to deliver the workshops.
We hope to get some photos on the blog soon.

Made with Madeley
We were successful in bidding for a Tesco Community Grant in November and delivered a project with the young people at the Madeley Youth Centre on Rosehill Street.
We delivered 4 sessions to create batik Christmas cards and screen printed t-shirts and tote bags. All the artwork was created to sell at 2 local arts and crafts markets in the run up to Christmas.
We had a stall at the Guildhall Arts and Crafts Market and also one at the Mickleover Christmas Fair.
We raised over £120 in sales and the young people and youth leaders helped on the stalls too.
We were very pleased with the workshops, and we know that the youth group enjoyed the experience. We are hoping to work with the group in the new year towards some spring activities.

Sangam Totes
We have enjoyed working with the Sangam Ladies Group creating tote bags and printed tea towels.
They have loved having the opportunity to create their own artwork using their own designs. They have learnt batik, embroidery, and textile printing.
Hopefully we will be back again soon working with them again.

Pajaki @ Goldsquad
We created Polish Pajaki paper decorations with the lovely Goldsquad ladies.
It was all about threading straws and paper punched shapes to create a beautiful chandelier. We had a fun session.

Halloween Puppets @ Grove Lodge
We had a couple of making days at Grove Lodge in the Arboretum Park with families over half term.
We made pop up witch puppets and shadow puppets. Grove Lodge looked great with the spooky shadows at the window.

Sangam Batiks
We delivered a batik session with the Sangam ladies group. They decorated the fabric with hot wax and then used batik inks to paint the designs.
Mini Makers Faire @Silk Mill Museum
We were pleased to have a stand at the Mini Maker Faire at the end of October at the Silk Mill Museum. We exhibited our woven lampshades and visitors were able to create their own mini weaving.
