Derby Makers Faire - Diamond Weavings
Once again we were involved in the Derby Makers Faire at the Derby Silk Mill Museum at the end of October.
We were there to promote the work we are doing in the Derby Arboretum Park and to let people know about the new Friends of the Park group. It was a very busy event with lots of people from a wide area, we had a lot of good conversations. We also created the Diamond weavings again as we like the effect they make.

Bulb Planting with St James School
We spent the morning with the children from St James Junior School planting crocuses with the Derby Rotary Club in the Derby Arboretum Park. The crocuses are part of the 'End Polio' Campaign that the club are involved in.

St Mary's - Andy Goldsworthy Weavings
We worked with almost 50 children from Year 1 to create Andy Goldsworthy inspired natural weavings. We used cardboard, wool, fabric, ribbon and pressed leaves.
They made a wonderful display when they were put together.

175th Anniversary of Derby Arboretum Park
Wow, what a great day we had in the Derby Arboretum Park. Best bits were the amazing procession, the wonderful performances on the main stage, the array of organisation stalls and the community spirit.
Thank you to the Multifaith Centre, Derby City Council Parks, Sustrans, Arboretum Cafe for their support and to the People's Health Trust - Healthcalm for their financial support.
Have a look at the photos from the day.
