We delivered a lovely project called Creative Cafe at Loudon Lodge Apr-June 2025.
We looked at 6 different artists and each week we created work reflecting that artists style or focus.
We studied Frida Kahlo, Georgia O'Keefe, Van Gogh, Matisse, Monet & Yayoi Kusama. What a great time we had learning about these artists and the work was great too!
Kindly funded by Community Cohesion GrantWe worked with schools and community groups to create our Well Dressing in the Derby Arboretum. This year the theme was 185 years of the park first opening and all the amazing people who work and volunteer in the park.
We held a great celebration on the community garden with music, tea and cake!

Nature Spaces continued over the Springtime with lots of different artforms.Everyone enjoyed making great art!

We worked with 2 schools in May and June on a Nature Project. We worked with Harrington Nursery on some giant insect suncatchers and with Rosehill Infants on small insect suncatchers. The work was displayed in the Orangery in the Derby Arboretum for the Community Fair on the park in June.

We were asked to work at Lawns Primary School in June on a Sustainability Project with Year 6 and Year 3 students.
We decided to reuse different plastics to create a window hanging and to highlight how we can help the planet, how we can look after nature, people and animals and what actions we could take to help make it a better world to live in.
We made purses with denim offcuts, gaffer tape and bondawebbed fabric. They were fun to do, especially being in Loudon Lodge looking out at the community garden in the Arboretum in the sunshine. 😎
