Giant Puppets for International Women's Day 2022

Wow what a busy month we had creating two giant puppets for International Women's Day 2022. We delivered lots of workshops at the Derby Women's Centre and Derby Arboretum with groups and at drop-in sessions. 

The procession was simply brilliant, starting from the women's centre, down to The Spot at the start of St Peter's Street in Derby all the way to the old library on the Wardwick. What a great experience.

Many thanks to all the artists who helped make the puppets, the people who carried the puppets and the funders - Central England Co-operative and Foundation Derbyshire.

Tiny Book of Me - Normanton Library

We worked with a great group of children talking about what they like doing, what they are good at and what hobbies they have. We then decorated sheets that we magically turned into tiny books. Thanks to the staff at Normanton Library for making us welcome.

shine a light in Ilkeston

We worked with the Derbyshire Recovery and Peer Support Group to create super lanterns for the Shine a Light Lantern Festival at Erewash Museum, in Ilkeston.

It was a great festival and lovely group to work with.

The project was kindly funded by Erewash Borough Councils' Small Arts Grant.
