We spent 2 evenings at the Coop Insomnia Cafe in Shelton Lock creating festive wreaths. It was a frenzy of activity with more foliage than we could manage. It was lovely friendly groups and everyone came away with a splendid wreath to hang up.

The model of the post war prefab was launched at Ilkeston Library on 25 Nov.
There was a good crowd of people who came along, some who had participated in the project as well as local councillors and librarians.
It was a lovely day and everyone was pleased with the artwork.
The Spiral Artists were part of Luminate '25, another lovely community event organised by Friends of Derby Arboretum. We had the trees lit up, a lantern procession around the Arboretum, a fire eater, a drumming circle, and hot refreshments served by St Thomas's church.
A lovely evening of communities together.
We were delighted to work on the 'OUR FREEDOM' Project at Ilkeston Library during Sept and October 2025.
We were able to work with the lovely folk from Flamsteed Day Care again.
We talked about what it was like to live in post war Ilkeston and many remembered the prefab bungalows.
We created paper collage houses using magazines and we wrote down inside all about their memories of the prefabs.
We had a wonderful experience at 'Assemble' Oct 25,in the Museum of Making, where we helped families to create beautiful lanterns together. What a lot of creativity in one place—Derby truly shines!
